PC Computers are really great these days. I remember back in 1983 when I acquired my first computer, a TRS80 16k level 2 computer, a really big beast! It was with pride that I brought it home and let it out of its cage. I plugged it and I was anxious to hear the nicest roar of my life. Nothing. This machine did not have fans, so it stayed there totally silent. A small led showed me it was on. Yes the beast was ALIVE!
Now what? I ask myself. I went through the books and started to understand basic language. I made little simple basic programs. I was astonished. Look honey! You can read my name moving on the screen! She looked at me like a mother looking at her child with a polite smile and stepped out of the room unimpressed. PC computers have progressed a lot since then. I have good memories of the shear amazement and fun I had with my humongous 16k computer up to this day.
Nowadays we can get so many types of PC computers and with a lot of different gadgets, it is just amazing. And what is exciting today will be just lukewarm in the future. In the life of a computer, time goes fast.
